The weather is cooling down, the leaves are changing colors and Christmas is right around the corner. Fall is the time of year that is associated with harvest and gratitude for all that God has done during the year. Will you be able this year to truly thank God for all? As I was driving today and looking at all the beautiful trees, I thought about the process that brings the beauty associated with the changing leaves. As the leaves are dying they produce a wonderful beauty. Through their death they bring so much beauty. That is how our Christian life is to be lived. When we die to self we can truly bring beauty to this bleak world. Although sometimes in our lives we go through changes that seem terribly difficult and they appear to be the furthest thing from beautiful, God can still bring beauty from them. Whatever your situation this year I hope you will be able to say like the psalmist: Ps 92:1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: I hope you enjoy this fall season and will thank God for all.
